In 1988 Möllans Ost were opened and has since then moved two times and finally ended in the corner of Bergsgatan/Möllevångstorget. Möllans Ost is the province of Skåne’s pearl when it comes to cheese and delicacies and was rewarded by DN as one of the two best cheese shops in Sweden in 2006. They have the best hard, dessert, sheep and goat cheese and have their own goat cheese humidor. On the cheeses you will find small signs that tell the name of the cheese, its origin and what’s unique with it, it can be everything from that the cheese has been painted with olive oil in a grotto or that classical music has been played while the goats have been milked. The owner, Peter Mårtensson, is furthermore dubbed as a knight by Les Degusteux d’Chieuv d’Selles, that’s a French goat cheese order, and by the Confrerie des chevaliers du Taste-Fromage de France, that’s the most exclusive cheese order in France. With other words you can be sure of a good cheese selection at this chivalrous cheese shop.
