In the middle of Malmoe you’ll find Davidshallstorg. The area and the adjoining crossroads have a lot of nice shops and you can probably find an entire outfit with matching shoes and accessories. You can also find wall papers and kitschy interior design in the area. This guide will guarantee that you’ll find some real bargains whether you’re into preppy Italian fashion or heavy skull necklaces.

Swedish design

Davidshallstorg used to consist of luxurious vintage shops but lately the area has grown and nowadays you can find Swedish designer brands here that don’t exist anywhere else in Malmoe. The shop Tjallamalla on Davidshallsgatan is a perfect example. Tjallamalla also exists in Stockholm and they sell clothes from up and coming designers as well as already known designers like Diana Orving and Whyred. In the back of the shop you can find a rack of clothes with reduced prices, if you’re lucky you might get a dress from Carin Wester for only 500 SEK.

Become a preppy man

The shop Popolino is perfect for you that prefer a preppy dressing style. The shop retails nice looking shoes and shirts, mods and anglophile fashion. For girls there are lots of skirts and dresses from Rules By Mary and of course they have the British brand Ben Sherman. Anglophile and Italian fashion can also be found at Tweed. If you like to look unique Tweed is a good shop since they only purchase a few garments of each model.

If you’re feeling tired shopping for clothes or desperately want a vase shaped like a pistol, you should visit the interior design shop Miss Juniversum. The shop has a lot of unnecessary fun stuff that you don’t really need, like a toaster that gives the bread the inscription “I love toast”. This is an excellent gift shop!
